The Labouré Rose Gold Miraculous Medal Bracelet

Rose-gold-tone sterling silver, hand-linked between faceted blue-gray crystals. The cross lies sideways along the wrist, so from across a room it reads as jewelry — and up close, it's unmistakable.

The Miraculous Medal hangs at the clasp. Around its edge, in Latin: O Maria sine labe concepta, ora pro nobis qui ad te confugimus. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

Those are her own words. In 1830, Our Lady appeared to a young novice named Catherine Labouré in a chapel on the Rue du Bac in Paris and asked her to have a medal struck — this one — with that prayer around the edge. The rays falling from her hands were graces, she explained, and the reason so few of them fell was that so few people thought to ask. Wear it, she said, and those graces would follow. The medal was minted two years later. Within a decade people were calling it miraculous, and the name stayed.
